
Meet Our Physicians

Steven Curtiss, MD
Dr Steven Curtiss is a board certified general and vascular surgeon who joined highland park surgical associates in 1997. He grew up in Miami Beach florida and began college in 1980 at Rensalaer Polytechnic Institute where he was accepted into the accelerated BS/MD program. He received his Medical Degree from Albany Medical College in 1986. After graduation he was an Internal Medicine intern at Portsmouth Naval Hospita. He then served as a Flight Surgeon in the US Navy with Carrier Airwing 14, aboard the USS Constellation and Independence. After leaving active duty he performed his general surgical residency and vascular fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. He is a former president of the New Jersey Vascular Society and a former member of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Board. Dr Curtiss’s clinical interest include dialysis access, endovascular aneurysm repair, lower extremity vascular disease and hernia surgery. He is married with three children. Enjoys travel and the outdoors.

Scott Rosen, MD
Dr Scott Rosen is a board certified general and vascular surgeon. He was born and raised in New Rochelle , NY.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University in 1989. Following this he earned his Medical Degree from NYU School of Medicine in 1993.
He completed his General Surgery residency at Cornell Medical Center in 1998 then went on to complete his Vascular Surgery Fellowship in 1999 at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
In order to obtain further specialized training he went on to complete an Endovascular Surgery Fellowship from the same institute. Dr. Rosen is also our cosmetic vein specialist.
When he's not treating patients he enjoys spending time with his wife, and 3 sons.

Jeffry Zavotsky, MD
Dr. Jeffry Zavotsky is a board certifiedl General Surgeon. He was born and raised in New Brunswick and raised in South River, NJ. He graduated in 1985 from Boston University with a B. A. in Biology. In 1991, he earned his medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School, Newark, NJ. Following this, he completed a five-year surgical residency at the same institution.
Dr. Zavotsky then went on to further specialized training in cancer surgery at the John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, CA. It was there that he published papers in Breast Cancer research. In addition, he learned advanced techniques such as sentinel lymph node biopsy and management of liver tumors.
He joined Surgical Affiliates of New Jersey in June 2018. When he's not operating he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
